Garfield Peak

The trail has spectacular panoramic views of the entire lake. It is better to hike early in the morning to avoid crowds. It takes at least two to three hours to complete the trail. The trailhead starts at the eastern end of Rim Village by following the paved walkway behind the Crater Lake Lodge.

Crater Lake is the major highlight of the park. The deep, clear, and blue lake attracts the most of the visitors. The unique feature of the lake is the deep blue colour, that is caused by its contrast with the ochre and rust hues of the surrounding rock walls.

Plaikni Falls

The park not only has Crater Lake there are plenty of other natural features. From towering forests to pumice plains to beautiful waterfalls. One of the must visit places is Plaikni Falls. The trail is 2-mile and leads through an old-growth forest to a waterfall. 

The waterfall is located along East Rim Drive within the park. The waterfall is located in a glacier carved cliff surrounded by walls of petrified volcanic ash.
