Voyageurs National Park

These campsites also provide tent pads, bear-resistant food storage lockers, picnic tables, and campfire rings. If you are planning to go for a road trip in winter, you get to drive across the ice road where the lakes freeze, and the park permits cars to drive through the ice.

Isle Royale National Park

Isle Royale is the perfect destination for summer with a cool climate, and crystal-clear waters. The park is surrounded by 450 small islands making it one of the dream destinations. Isle Royale has 165 miles of hiking trails and 36 campgrounds for backpackers, paddlers, and recreational boaters. If you are a hiker you can head to Greenstone Ridge which is a 43-mile trail with challenging paths. You need 3 to 5 days to complete the trial.
