Wyoming

Wyoming is a state which is located in the mountain region of the Western United States. It is the 10th largest state of the 50 states of the United States. And it is also the least populous and least populated state in the United States of America. Wyoming is bordered by South Dakota and Nebraska to the east, Montana to the north and northeast, Colorado to the south, and Utah to the southwest. 

Wyoming attained statehood on 10th July 1890 and it is the 44th state to join the union. Wyoming’s capital is Cheyenne. It is a very peaceful place and it has many state parks. Boysen is the largest park in Wyoming which is located in Riverton. Wyoming has a number of state symbols. The western half of Wyoming is covered by the ranges and rangelands of the Rocky Mountains whereas the eastern half is a high elevation prairie called the High Plains.  Wyoming has two national parks and they are:

  • Grand Teton National Park
  • Yellowstone National Park

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park is a stunning national park located in northwestern Wyoming. It is an amazing destination with abundant wildlife, alpine terrain, and pristine lakes. Great Teton National Park was created by the mountains and offers two hundred miles of trails, enjoy the serenity, and float the Snake River where you can explore and enjoy. There are few landscapes that are more memorable in the Grand Teton National Park. 

Grand Teton National Park is also famous for its cultural history with ancient homesteads and cattle ranches where you can explore and take incredible pictures. You can go for a hike in the mountains to see the beautiful sunset. The best time to visit Grand Teton National Park is from May to September.

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is the first national park in the United States and it is the flagship of the National Park Service. It is a favorite destination for millions of visitors every year. This national park comes with crystal clear lakes and jagged peaks. Yellowstone National Park is more popular for old faithful geysers and hot springs when compared with other places. You can drive through the grand loop road for the amazing view of the park from the vehicle and you can also stop at many picnic areas along the way. 

People from all over the world will come to the Yellowstone National Park to witness the wonders of the park. The national park also has hundreds of colorful hot springs like Grand Prismatic Hot Spring which is the third-largest hot spring in the world. Yellowstone National Park is more popular for road trip destinations. The best time to visit this park is from April to May and from September to October.
